Dream of running your own farm? The Wainfleet Agricultural Society invites all Niagara youth aged 18 and under to join the 2025 Fleeter Farm Kids Contest—a hands-on adventure in farming and entrepreneurship!
We’re awarding two $500 grants to creative young minds with bold agricultural ideas—think growing veggies, raising animals, or selling flowers. This isn’t just about funding; it’s about building skills for life!
What’s in store?
- Craft a mini business plan—outline your project, budget, and marketing ideas (like a roadside stand or the Wainfleet Farmers’ Market).
- Learn the ropes of farming, budgeting, and selling your products.
- Compete to turn your vision into reality with real cash to get started!
- Show off your success with a poster at the Wainfleet Fall Fair in September.
From March 1 to April 15, 2025, applications are open—submit yours by email to info@wainfleetfallfair.com or drop it off at Minor Bros in Wainfleet. Winners will be announced April 23 at the Wainfleet Open House, then it’s time to grow from April to September! No farm experience? No problem—just bring your passion and ideas (and a parent’s signature on page 4 of the application).
