Motorsports

Antique tractor pulling is how tractor pulling first got started, although the tractors were just modern tractors at that time. As early as 1929, farmers began attaching their tractors to drags, and dragging it down a field to see who could pull it the furthest.  The Wainfleet Fall Fair's event is a celebration of that history

The Holy Hands Puppets are a group of Church goers ranging from Grade 5 to Adults who provide a different venue for worship songs & singing. The puppet team have done various events from entertaining the retirement and long-term care homes in the area (for Easter, Christmas & Family Day Celebrations) to Canada Day, Canal Days, the Wainfleet Fall Fair, children’s birthday parties and after supper entertainment at neighbouring churches

Rabbit showmanship is a combination of a 4-H member’s knowledge of good rabbit management and care, and how that information is presented to a judge; the ability to handle and show the rabbit according to the association breed standard; cleanliness and condition of the rabbit; the 4-H member’s knowledge of his or her rabbit’s good qualities, as well as its faults or disqualifications according to its breed standard. In addition, the 4-H member’s appearance, show ring ethics, and sportsmanship are a part of showmanship

Typically each adult sheep is shorn once each year.  Depending upon dialect, a sheep may be said to have been "shorn", "sheared" or "shore".  Sheep are shorn in all seasons including winter, depending on the climate

Demolition derbies were first held at various fairs, race tracks, and speedways by independent promoters in the 1950s. There are unconfirmed reports of events occurring as far back as the 1930s utilizing the abundant supply of worn-out Ford Model T's.  The sport's popularity grew throughout the 1960s, becoming a standard at county fairs and becoming a subculture nationwide
